Here are pictures of my 2002 Mustang GT, before and after my Maaco paint job. The first picture (top left) is the previous color, Tropic Green, which I always felt was just a little too light of a green. I took it to Maaco in Greenville, SC in April 2010, and signed up for the top-of-the-line Factory Platinum paint job, for $3,000 but $2,500 after my $500 coupon. After talking about it further with my wife, and after considering that the car itself is only worth maybe $8,000-$10,000, I decided to step down to the next level, the Signature paint job, for just under $1,500. This price included all the jambs, under the hood, and under the trunk, as well as removing the rear spoiler and filling the holes. I took it in to them right before closing on Friday, April 30, and it was done the following Thursday, May 6. When I arrived to pick it up and saw it for the first time, I was blown away. I think the color is beautiful and I think Maaco did a great job. They warned me about the possibility of defects before I left it there, and admittedly there are some defects (slight orange peel, some dust particles in the paint, and one spot on the hood about 3 inches in diameter that looks wavy from certain angles), but I think that: 1) They are all minor issues, 2) I was warned about them, and 3) this price is at most a third of what I would pay elsewhere for this type of quality. Luke, Brian, and the whole crew were great to work with from start to finish, and I would definitely recommend that others take their cars here. If you have a $40,000 car and wouldn't be able to tolerate any defects whatsoever, this might not be for you. But if your car is not worth as much and you want a lot of value for what you pay, you should definitely consider Maaco in Greenville. The second picture is the "after", painted Atlantis Green, which is a new color for 2010 on Fusions and Taurus SHOs. The third picture is an up-close shot. The car looks dark green in direct sunlight, dark grey in the shade, and black at night, which is what I wanted.
